The Great Commission (Mathew 28:16-20), lines up with ‘equipping the saints, for the work of service’ (Ephesians 4:12).

My experience teaches me there are two key elements that work together to achieve true Kingdom advancement.

1. the strategy (short, medium, long term)
2. the tactical imperatives that fuel each transformation from ‘here to there’. These are the operational steps that achieve the mobilisation of strategic objectives.

Those who have experience in business and ministry to do both 1 and 2 above, understand that it takes a pioneering character trait, chartering the strategy and being able to ‘wear multiple hats’ in the mobilisation of objectives to be effective and see results. It requires humility and experience to do this. Leading by example to set the culture to replicate and perpetuate momentum.

Strategists who have not been involved in pioneering ‘new territory/start up’ initiatives lack the experiential knowledge gained by pioneering strategy and deploying tactical alignment in the face of varying barriers to entry and limitations in time, resources, finances etc. In these cases there is a tendency to be excellent at the ‘white board marker’ stage of what needs to happen, but a lack of connection with the practical ‘hard yards’ of actual deployment. This is what separates ‘text book’ and ‘hands on’ experience.

Jesus our Servant Leader, did both strategic and tactical/operational. He heard from Our Father and He walked with, taught, imparted, equipped, established, fellowshipped and led by example, His disciples. This speaks to the kind of leaders who will drive this next season’s transformation.

Smaller more effective Gideon like teams will launch out, connected to broader strategy, but taking ownership of individual tactical steps.

For many, this season’s requirements for leaders with vast pioneering experience will shine light on the training they have actually been going through, and will help them make sense of the journey behind and unlock a new and inspired focus going forward. (Isaiah 43:18-21)

As an example, when considering ministering to an individuals heart transformation, looking at the difference of approach between a ‘method’ versus an ‘accurate and distinct prophetic word’ for that individual person/circumstance...experience tells us that the accuracy of ‘hearing Fathers Voice’ for each situation is better at yielding transformation and reconciliation than applying a method. It is no different when looking at a regional strategy ... it is better to hear His Voice than deploy a method.

Different strategies will emerge for different regions, with the same overarching objective of establishing ‘Basilia’, the rule, reign and dominion of The Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven.

One thing is sure: As much as we need excellent discipling we also need those willing to be discipled.

In the context of this season, a massive deployment of cross-ministry collaboration is about to take place. Those with similar Kingdom visions will begin to co-labour and not compete.

Fathers Voice is the key in each strategic objective and each tactical imperative, the plan is His and your regions uniqueness is in His hands. Humility to lead like Jesus is key to seeing the Great Commission and the ‘multiplying of disciples who multiply disciples’ advance mightily.

I wrote this on 29th December 2019, to prepare hearts for 2020. I felt led to re-publish it for those who missed it, I trust you are blessed.

The devil wants division in any shape and form. Friendships, marriages, businesses, churches, nationalities, races, countries ...  individuals, groups or communities... as long as we are at war, offended and not talking, the devil is winning.

Each of us that participate in separating things and not bringing them together in Christ have participated in the devil’s plan to constantly keep us divided... the devil doesn’t care, as long as we are not united, he wins.

A time of repentance and new patterns is needed to begin the recovery process. It’s never too late. We have all been deceived at times. The wars must end! When we lay down our rights at the foot of the cross, pride dies and the devil’s foothold will vanish. The devils power over us is directly linked to offense and pride, which separates us from freedom in Jesus Christ.

Our enemy understands the power of a united, Spirit-filled Christian Kingdom ... it’s time we do too!

1 John 3:8
the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

Through Christ we have everything we need to love those we disagree with and yet still remain unified in humility, gentleness and the fruit of the Spirit.

Nothing else can unify us except Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Body. Our motivation to stay unified is to understand that division is the enemies agenda... ‘divide and conquer’ while in Christ we should ‘unify and strengthen’. Otherwise how are we to participate in Isaiah 61 or Isaiah 58... as Spirit filled Ministers of Reconciliation?

Isaiah 58:12
“Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up the age-old foundations;
And you will be called the repairer of the breach,
The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

We will not always agree, but allowing disagreement to manifest into division is of the devil. Every day we are allowing the ‘pattern of the world’ to fuel our judgements of others when we have been commanded to love with His (Agape) Love.

Choose today to make things right. Don’t fear the outcome of difficult situations because you no longer have a spirit of fear but a spirit of love, power and a sound mind.  With the mind of Christ we overcome the work of the devil. Not my will but yours Lord! It’s no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me. He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. I can do all things through Him (Christ) ....

As we are preparing our hearts to enter 2020 no matter what plans you have, no matter what prophecies you’ve received and no matter how great the forecast, division will make you weak.

Hebrews 10:39
But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul.

Its important to see that we are all made by our Heavenly Father ... He made us, and those around us, we look like Him ... incredible ... ALL of us are made in His image and likeness, look around you, He is our Father.

Allow the following scriptures to saturate your heart. There is so much division and lack of tolerance in the world that wants to see Fathers greatest creation, US, separated from each other, because we look slightly different.  For God so loved the world ... all of creation!

The Act of Big Wave (Spirit) Surfing

There is a word of encouragement on my heart that I feel needs to be spoken ...

For some time I have had this picture of big wave surfing and how incredibly brave these men and woman are to commit to something that takes years of practice, training and sheer guts. Conquering their fears, trying over and over again, knowing that with each 'wipeout' they are one step closer to their goal.

As we watch one of these brave souls sliding down a monstrous wall of water, my heart leaps for them hoping for a good outcome and in the middle of all the bashing crashing foam when someone emerges on the clean face of a wave, wow, i feel such joy in their success; in a small way I share their victory. Awestruck.

I liken this picture to present day ministry and what it takes to step out in faith by the spirit of the living God against all the odds, all the naysayers, and the many tactics of the enemy, to achieve something truly amazing and wonderful, something extraordinary.

When a surfer slips and tumbles off a huge wave and disappears beneath the surging ocean typically you will see how all the other surfers scramble to help and ensure their safety. Amongst those who have been able to paddle out on a big day, i see a bond and a kinship even amongst those who have met for the first time out at the back line, knowing they are there for the same reasons. By watching big wave surfers you will see that they have a inherent respect and code for one another. A brotherhood. Different styles, boards and techniques, but the same desired outcome ... to make it, turn and paddle out again and do it all over once more.

But sadly this can't always be said for the Body of Christ ...

Our brothers and sisters who have or are currently paddling out into 'large waves' that require lots of faith, not only have the powerful ocean water and the sheer size of what they need to overcome before them, they often have to handle being hammered, criticized and accused by fellow believers... jeers coming from the shoreline from self appointed 'accusers of the brethren'. Taking joy when one of our brothers in Christ comes off a big wave and get slammed and held under.

Unity calls for a change in how we encourage each other onto greatness. When someone comes off a wave we should be rushing in to help them stay afloat and give them the confidence to try again.

We are all working together for Jesus. This is heavy on my heart people, too many good men and woman have been written off by others and in the vulnerability of that crashing moment their participation in The Kingdom gets damaged.

The Five fold ministry is supposed to equip the saints, not abandon them.

WE NEED MORE PEOPLE WHO HAVE OUR FATHERS HEART

If you have been hurt, know that it was NEVER our Fathers will for you to be hurt by others. Please don't be defined by peoples opinions of you, look to Jesus, His Word about you trumps the opinions of the nay-sayers in your life.

Pick up your cross and follow Him!

I believe it was the Moravians in the days of John Wesley when he first receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit who said the following:

IN ESSENTIALS, UNITY
IN NON-ESSENTIALS, LIBERTY
AND IN ALL THINGS, LOVE

John 13:34-35 AMP
I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another."

Matthew 25:45 AMP
Then He will reply to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these [my followers], you did not do it for Me.'

I say again, don't be defined by peoples opinions of you, look to Jesus, His Word about you trumps the opinions of the nay-sayers in your life. Keep your eyes upon Him, gaze at His perfection and paddle hard. Be brave and courageous. Your refusal to give up on who He said you are will yield its reward ! There is a wave designed just for you and you will make it!
